I’m here for day two now, and the breakfast/brunch has been hot, fresh, tasty, and generous for the price. The customer service is fantastic, and the shower had great pressure in a nicely sized bathroom. The lobby looked gloomier in person than it did in the online photo. Better lighting would’ve helped. There’s a theatre, pizza shop, and other places within walking distance. I travel regularly, and I’d recommend stopping in for breakfast or brunch if you’re nearby.

The view from our room was awesome, and the hotel is in a good location, though it’s an old building. My wife and I rarely get a night away from the kids, so I used 50,000 points for this stay. I’ve been a lifetime platinum elite member, loyal to Marriott, and traveling for 17+ years. This was the worst Renaissance stay I’ve had. The HVAC wouldn’t cool the room, no matter what temperature I selected. We were sweating in bed with it set to 60. We couldn’t sleep and finally packed up and checked out. It ruined the trip, and I feel like my points were wasted and the night wasn’t worth them. I’m really disappointed as a longtime Marriott traveler.

We got married here a few years ago, and the event staff were wonderful. The food was great and our venue room had a spectacular view. The staff have generally been great, though the front desk seemed to be dreading work when we checked in this time. That’s not usual for us, and everyone has an off day. This is still one of our favorite hotels, but the rooms need a refresh. They’re comfortable and a good size, yet the bathroom feels more Fairfield than Luxury Collection. Chipped, rusting fixtures and scratchy, torn towels make it seem like the little details have been neglected. I hope the place gets the update it deserves.

We had a perfect stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating, our rooms got fresh towels and daily cleaning, and the elevator was quick. It’s easy to walk to restaurants and sporting events. I’d recommend staying here.

We walked to the Benedum to see Wicked, and the location made that easy. The food and cocktails were fantastic, and the staff were great. We had a lovely time at the Renaissance. The rooms have a retro look.
