The Swan Hotel

I was working across the street at the NW Maritime Center, so the Swan’s location near Point Hudson was ideal. It was easy to walk to cafes and restaurants, and I also appreciated free access to an excellent gym across the street. The building is quaint and old, and feels like part of historic PT. My room was clean, tidy, and had what I needed.

We spent three nights here and found it comfortable and cozy. The room had a nice maritime look. Ours was on the ground floor and not huge, but it was a good size for a couple. We just wanted a bed, bathroom, and TV, so that suited us. The water is right nearby and it’s an easy walk into town. We didn’t really interact with anyone, which we preferred. Since we were arriving late, they left our room key in a lockbox. The door hanger for requesting room service was simple to use, though we didn’t need it. There’s parking on site for a few cars and plenty of parallel parking nearby. Cute, quaint hotel, well equipped for a local weekend stay. Highly recommend.

A ferry cancellation meant I unexpectedly needed somewhere for the night with my dog. After I spoke with Judy at the front desk, I didn’t need to keep looking. She was kind and understanding, and let me see the available room before booking to make sure it would work. It was very clean and comfortable, and the location near the marina and ferry dock was great. I really appreciate the hotel’s responsible environmental practices and that it welcomes dogs in a few dedicated rooms. I had to leave early the next morning, thankfully when the ferry was back on its normal schedule, so I couldn’t stay longer and explore PT. Still, I know I’ll be back before long and will most likely stay at The Swan. Thanks for being so great, especially Judy!

The cabin was spotless, cozy, comfortable, and clearly cared for. Off-street parking was convenient, and being at the end of the main street made it easy to walk to shops and restaurants while still enjoying a peaceful stay. I spent two nights there recently and was very pleased. Looking forward to coming back.
