Management has changed, and that's been a welcome change. I've never had a problem here, but things feel better now. The food is fresher and rooms are cleaner. The manager's husband gave me the impression that they take pride in what they've made and care about customer service.

The room was nice and the hotel was clean, but the early check-in charge left a bad impression. We got in from Arizona two hours early, and even though our prepaid room was ready, they wouldn't give us a key without an extra $25.00. That felt low class to me. I won't stay there again.

The breakfast was very good, and the two young women working there gave us the best service you could ask for. One was Hispanic and the other was from India. I'm an ENMU Alumni, and whenever I return to Portales, this is where I'll stay. Thank you, Comfort Inn. Jack West NFL Alumni

After a 14-hour cross-country drive, all I wanted was a hot shower and a bed at this choice hotel in Portales NM. I let the water run for over 10 minutes and it was still cold. The front desk told me I'd need to leave it running for 20 minutes or more. Water is scarce in the desert Southwest, so that wasted both my time and water. Don't stay here, they don't care. It felt like being in a 3rd world country.
10/10
The location was convenient, with restaurants and local spots easy to reach, and breakfast had lots of fresh, tasty choices. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and professional whenever I needed help. My room was spacious, spotless, and comfortable, with the amenities I needed, and the bathroom was clean and well stocked. The bed was cozy, and the quiet made it easy to unwind after a long day. I had a great stay at Comfort Inn in Portales and will definitely return.
