Eastside Lodge

The price was really good for somewhere a 15-minute walk from the convention center. The outside was clean and tidy, and there's a kids' play place restaurant right next door, so the area felt fine. I was worried by some bad reviews, but the room was clean and everything worked. The fridge wasn't staying cool because the room had been left at 90°F.

The walls are very thin. We came to Portland for shows and chose this hotel because it was near the venue and had vehicle parking, but the next room had an all-night party. There were so many people that we could understand their voices and conversations through the wall. We had prepaid for two days and left after one. The TV didn't work, and noise from the back alley came in through the air conditioner. I've edited my original review because the day manager offered to refund the second day to Expedia as we were leaving. I didn't expect a refund, so I've added stars for the service.

I've stayed here several times. The king room was nicely outfitted, with everything you'd expect and a little extra, including a closet, an iron and ironing board, and an extra pillow.

This was one of the friendlier check-ins we've had here over the years, and the outside has been spruced up. Inside, the room felt a little worn, and the shower still had its original door from the Travelodge days. For the price, you get what you get.
