The staff gave excellent service, and there are plenty of nearby places to eat and grocery shop. The bath was the best I’ve ever had. For the location and price, it’s cleaner than most. This motel deserves four stars!

The room worked for a one-night layover, but I wouldn’t stay here again. We needed a microwave and were surprised the room didn’t have one. The front desk manager brought one, though not very willingly. There’s no continental breakfast either. The location is handy for downtown activities and freeway access, and it was surprisingly quiet on a weekday. The $10 onsite parking fee was a drawback. I only noticed it later on the Choice Hotels site, buried in another information section. The lot was nearly empty, yet parking in front of your room costs extra. The manager said we could park on the street for free, but we didn’t want to risk a break-in. I’ve never run into this at another urban Choice hotel.

We used points for the room while visiting family. They’d warned us the neighborhood wasn’t great. There were unhoused people camping nearby, but they kept to themselves. Inside, the room was spotless and recently remodeled, and the manager or owner was especially helpful and polite. At checkout, we mentioned the showerhead was leaking and spraying the walls. He let us leave the car while we ran errands, and when we got back a maintenance person was already fixing it. Nothing fancy, but it was clean, close to where we wanted to go, and the service was flawless.

For the price, this is a great place to get a clean, comfortable night’s sleep. The managers were helpful and kind, and the room was clean. It’s right by a bunch of really good food trucks, and parking in that part of the city would be hard to beat at $10 a day. Obviously it isn’t a five-star hotel, but you get what you pay for. I’d recommend staying here.

The TV was in a power-saving mode that made the screen so dark I could barely see anything. When I asked for the remote so I could adjust it, they told me I could check out if I didn’t like it.
