There were footprints on the wall, a sheet of ice across the fridge's top shelf, hair in the shower drain and on the bathroom floor, and stained towels. My husband is bald and my hair is loc'd and copper colored, so the hair wasn't ours. I showed pictures and told the front desk woman, who gave me fresh towels. Then I went to the store for cleaning supplies and disinfected the room myself. Seeing the shower like that made me question the cleanliness of the whole room and wonder what else had been skipped. I travel regularly for work and have stayed in some questionable hotels, but never expected this from a HILTON. On our first day in Portland we'd stayed at Sojourn Suites, which was surprisingly nice for nearly half the nightly rate here. I couldn't cancel this reservation, so we didn't extend at the first hotel.

The hotel was nice, and the staff were professional. There was a pool, a hot tub, and a workout area, and breakfast was offered. The common areas were clean, and children are welcome. Parking requires a ticket to enter and leave the lot. I didn't see any animals. No pictures.

We arrived in Portland, Oregon from TN at 10 pm on August 8th, only to learn that the room my daughter had paid for through Expedia back in April had been given to someone else. They put us in a room that didn't work for our family size or our situation with my 88 yr old mother. I tried for a week while we were in Oregon to reach the manager and left messages asking for a call back. Marleen never got back to me. The customer service was very poor, especially given the motto on the hotel's wall. This Hilton hotel is off my list in Oregon.

I look for three things, clean, quiet, and safe. This place missed the mark on cleanliness and quiet, though it did feel safe. The room wasn't properly cleaned, maintenance was lacking, and the bathroom door didn't work. That's not what I expect from a Hilton property. I think they can do better, as they usually do. Room 423, 4/30/2025. The kitchenette is a nice setup, with an almost full-size refrigerator and even a dishwasher for anyone too lazy to wash a couple of dishes. Parking costs $10 a night, plus about 5% extra, and the city adds substantial taxes.

We were upgraded to a suite, which was nice. The breakfast eggs, bacon, sausage, and the rest were cold. The automatic blackout blind in the main room was broken, and water kept collecting on the fridge's first shelf. Otherwise, it was a good hotel.
