The breakfast was good, but over two days, Saturday and Sunday, there was no bread at all. They had bagels and muffins, but not bread. The phone key was hit or miss, and the app kept bugging out. On the second night, the physical key got unlinked from the room. The kitchen was small, with a stovetop and dishwasher, plus a surprisingly hidden toaster that was dirty, so I think someone left it there. WiFi wasn’t fast, but 30 megabits per second is good enough. The Marriott Smart TV had YouTube, Netflix, and Prime Video. The heated pool was good, as was the medium-sized regular pool, which ranged from 3-5 feet. The hotel itself was really good.

The hallways had a fairly strong, unpleasant smell, though our room was fine. It had plenty of space for two in a studio with a king bed, an unused sleeper sofa, a streaming TV, a small table and two chairs, and a functional kitchenette with a full-size fridge, microwave, toaster, and dishwasher. We could easily have made simple meals there on a longer stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were in Portland for appointments at OHSU. The Residence Inn was about a ten-minute walk from the hotel to the lower half of OHSU's campus and the gondola stop. There’s also a bus to campus for people with mobility issues. Guests with OHSU appointments can get a discount, so mention it when booking. Transit from the airport took about an hour: we took the train and transferred once to a city bus. The free continental breakfast had a wide selection, including scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal, and make-your-own waffles, along with bagels, cereal, muffins, and toppings. Coffee, tea, and juice were available. There’s no room service, but a bar and restaurant on the ground floor. The menu was limited and the food passable but unimpressive, although the bar staff were very friendly and attentive. Snacks and drinks in the lobby alcove cost exorbitant prices, so I’d go to a drugstore or grocery store instead. If you use ice, switch on the freezer icemaker when you arrive, or get ice at the lobby front desk. It cost a bit more than basic hotel and motel chains, but felt like a huge step up and well worth it. I’d gladly stay here again when I’m in town for treatment.

A good hotel for the price. The pool is cool and the hot tub is hot. They’re also welcoming and supportive if you have a family member or loved one at OHSU, and offer a discount for that. 10/10, would recommend.

We had a suite with two separate rooms for our family of four. The kitchen and living area were decent, and we stayed for two nights, Dec 31, 2025 - Jan 2, 2026. Housekeeping was the biggest letdown. We were out exploring Portland all day, but when we came back at dinner time the room hadn’t been cleaned. I also left my cosmetic bag behind and told housekeeping exactly where to look. Nobody called to say whether they’d found it. Poor service, and I was disappointed. Breakfast was so-so, just the usual American fare. The food wasn’t fresh, and the sausages and scrambled eggs tasted weird.

For a quick overnight in Portland, this was a great place for us. The breakfast was incredible, the staff were so sweet, and every person we met was kind and extremely helpful. Our room was clean, spacious, and updated. Parking cost more than a fair rate compared with other places around Portland, especially since breakfast was free and high quality and the stay itself was great. We’d definitely book again.
