Staypineapple, Hotel Rose, Downtown Portland

I had a really good few days at Hotel Rose in Portland. The room was clean and nice, and I used the gym pretty much every day. It could use a cable machine with a pull-up attachment, but what’s there still got the job done. I also liked having a bar in the hotel. Rea, the bartender, was attentive and made me feel welcome whenever I stopped by. The free water bottle and refill station at the front desk were a lifesaver since I’m always thirsty. Julie, one of the hosts, was welcoming and gave me lots of suggestions for things to do nearby. Everyone was friendly from the moment I arrived and answered all my questions. Sonia was especially amazing the whole way through. She helped with everything I needed, suggested places she thought I’d like, and went out of her way to make sure I was taken care of. She made the stay even better. I’ll definitely be back when I’m next in Portland.

I love the bedding at these staypineapple hotels. Ellie at the front desk got us checked in and sorted with everything we needed, and the staff were super accommodating. The next day, Luce checked me out and arranged my next stay at the same time.

Really enjoyed this place. It has a distinctive style, the rooms were clean, and it was super comfortable with very good service. And the coffee was delicious. I’ll come back.

My dog cost $50, but none of the things supposed to come with that charge were provided. The restaurant was closed, and none of the advertised amenities were available. The front desk was no help at all. Everything felt old and shabby, and the beds didn’t have sheets. This was the biggest disappointment I’ve had in Portland. The price was way too high for Motel 6 quality.
