We spent a fantastic weekend in Raleigh in March. The lounge and outdoor seating were lovely, and the staff were so personable. They didn’t push particular shops or restaurants, just shared their own favorite places. You could tell they enjoyed their jobs, which matched what the reviews said.

The Longleaf Hotel and Lounge had a relaxed, welcoming feel and a retro-modern look that gave it more personality than a chain hotel. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and nicely put together, with thoughtful decor and modern amenities. I also liked the outdoor lounge areas and the easygoing social atmosphere. The staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely helpful, and the whole property seemed clean and well cared for. Its location made it easy to explore downtown Raleigh’s restaurants, museums, and nightlife. One of the best boutique hotel stays I’ve had in Raleigh.

The lounge was a nice spot to wind down in the evening, though it could get lively and might bother someone sensitive to noise. Getting around Raleigh was convenient, with downtown a short drive or walk away, and parking was easy. My room was simple, comfortable, and not cramped, with a decent bed and local touches in the decor. It’s minimalist, so don’t expect luxury amenities. The hotel itself is clean and thoughtfully designed, with a retro mid-century style that feels less generic than a chain. It’s a solid, straightforward place with some character, even if it isn’t perfect.

We had a great stay and would come back next time we’re nearby. Our room was quiet, clean, and comfortable, and I liked the filtered water station in the hall by the ice machine for filling my bottle. The location was great, and everyone on staff was friendly and accommodating. The lobby and bar were charming, though I wish the bar stayed open a little later. Free morning coffee was a nice touch.

We only booked one night with our small dog and immediately wished we’d stayed longer. They’d even left treats for him in the room. The bar served delicious cocktails, and the bartenders were great. Everyone was welcoming and accommodating, and the atmosphere was such a vibe. It’s in a super convenient spot, and we’ll book here whenever we’re in Raleigh.
