The location is convenient for downtown, and we stayed because it allows pets. The bathroom is a wet bath like you’d find in Southeast Asia, with no tub. There was an odor in the room, and the door was difficult to close. Service was efficient, though friendliness was hit or miss between the two staff members we dealt with. The other RedRoof Inn at Hardeeville (GA) had excellent, friendly customer service.

I’ve been staying here since 2011, and it’s always been a wonderful experience, no matter who checks me in or how long it’s been between visits. On this latest trip, Bree made the reservation process easy and was especially helpful. Whenever I had a question or problem, she took care of it quickly, or made sure it didn’t interfere with my errands and plans. She’s a great example of hospitality.

The elevator had garbage in it, including candy wrappers, empty soda bottles and other debris. In the room, roaches crawled over the floor and walls, and a foul musty smell hit me as soon as I opened the door. The bedding and furniture smelled the same, and the towels looked 50 years old and didn’t smell clean. I couldn’t relax or even feel comfortable unpacking, let alone sleeping there. A hotel should offer basic cleanliness and safety, and this place failed at both. I rarely leave reviews this negative, but this stay called for it. If you care about hygiene, peace of mind, or getting a decent night’s sleep, book somewhere else.

Jada is a wonderful Receptionist. She always goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome, and her friendly voice and smile are part of why I keep staying here when I’m in town for work. As long as Red Roof keeps Jada on shift, I’ll keep staying and bringing business.
