Homewood Suites by Hilton Raleigh Downtown

This is easily the best Homewood Suites I've stayed at, among my top 10 Hilton stays, and it even rivals some Hilton Curio Collection hotels. The place is clean, modern, and nicely updated, with clean rooms, kitchen, dishes, silverware, and refrigerator. The bathrooms and showers were spotless too, and the lobby was nice. They also pump a delightful upscale fragrance through the HVAC. It checked all my boxes and has set a new standard for me. I'll stay here next time I'm in Raleigh unless prices get too high. The one downside: there's no self-parking. It's valet only, or you have to find a spot on the street.

The biggest issue for us was the noise: our suite sat right over a club, and on Friday and Saturday the music was extremely loud. You could feel the bass vibrations in the bed. I'd stay again, but would ask for a room on the other side. Also, the on-site garage is very tight if you're driving a large vehicle like my 2024 Tundra. The rest of the stay had a lot going for it. This Homewood Suites by Hilton shares a property with Tempo by Hilton, making a stylish, upscale downtown Raleigh spot with a chic modern feel. The rooftop bar was much better than I'd expected based on other Hilton stays, accommodating and beautifully designed. The lobby bar was quick, with a nice large TV. Our spacious suite had a full kitchen with full-size fridge/freezer, cooktop, and sink, plus plenty of storage in an armoire. Shower pressure was excellent. Complimentary breakfast was a little limited. The eggs and chorizo sausage were fine, but we didn't care for the build-your-own breakfast burrito setup or the Belgian waffle station, though plenty of people may like those.

I stayed Monday through Friday and heard no noise at all, so I can't speak personally to the bar next door that other reviewers mention. Apparently it stays open late on Fridays and Saturdays. The downtown location is fantastic, the room was spotless, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Valet was professional, prompt, and welcoming. Both the bar and rooftop had excellent food choices and great staff. If I need to be downtown Raleigh again, I'll absolutely stay here.

We asked for a room away from the club, as another review suggested, and had no noise problems. Instead of valet, we left the car in the Nash lot on Spothero, about a 3-4 minute walk away. The hotel itself has modern decor, a clean room, and friendly, welcoming staff. It's also within walking distance of many restaurants and museums.
