The price was good, and the front desk clerk was very nice. When I asked to move, they gave me another room. That was about the only positive. I stayed one night, and the hotel didn't feel like a safe choice for families with kids. A lot of the guests seemed to live there, and there was litter all over the lot. Both rooms had roaches; the bedspreads had cigarette burns, though the sheets seemed clean. The mattress was hard and I couldn't sleep because I kept thinking a roach might crawl on me. There were only two small pillows, and they flattened easily when I leaned back. The rooms smelled fine, and the bathroom looked clean at first, but I saw roaches there too. Another guest warned me the bathroom ceiling would leak during a shower. There were plenty of towels, washcloths, and toilet paper. The doors didn't seem secure. They would unlatch a little if pushed, though they wouldn't open all the way, and there was an inside bolt. The parking spaces near my room were too close together. The room itself was basic, with wood-like floors and tile in the bathroom. The microwave, refrigerator, and TV all worked well. The TV had plenty of channels, a decent-sized screen, and could get very loud. The lobby had three vending machines with lots of choices, but two only took debit cards and the prices seemed high to me. The lobby stayed open all night for guests to use them. I asked for a first-floor smoking room and got one, with a good ashtray. There was also an ice bucket and liners, an ice machine in the lobby, small plastic cups, and motel 6 hand soap by the sink. The air conditioner in my first room quit after a few minutes and then wouldn't turn on at all. It looked broken at the top, so I moved. The AC in the second room worked well and got very cold, but it was quite dirty inside, which wasn't good for my allergies and severe asthma. It wasn't noisy at night, but I still wouldn't stay here again.

The room smelled awful, the window was broken, and the refrigerator cooled things but never got cold. One of the two plastic chairs had a broken leg, and the outlet by the sink didn't work. Towels were small and rough; the mattress was maybe three inches thick, and the little pillows were completely flat. There wasn't a hair dryer, even though one was listed among the amenities. If this is your only option, you'd be better off sleeping in your car. What a dump.

I booked online and missed out on the military discount. When I came to check in, the lobby reeked of Marijuana. The desk clerk and the woman with him, who I assumed was his girlfriend, looked red-eyed and stoned. He had my driver's license in his hand but asked me for it twice more. The room was passable, though the tub was dirty.

There was a big gap under the front door and what looked like signs of forced entry. Some bathroom hardware was busted, but the shower worked. The mattresses were usable, though your mileage may vary.

Big shout-out to Shabazz. Thanks for being so understanding and hospitable toward people going through situations. You're amazing at what you do, and they need more people like you.
