Greenway Motel

The desk clerk was really nice, and the motel was about $15 cheaper than anywhere else. But the room wasn’t very clean. It took me about 1 hour 45 minutes to sanitize the whole place, and I found old blood stains on the bedding. Yuck. They also didn’t seem to like having children, which sucked.

When we cancelled the second night, they refunded our money promptly. This is a very inexpensive hotel, so be ready for what you’re paying for: the room smelled and needed airing out, the bed was extremely firm, and there were patches of mold on the shower grout.

We only ended up here because the place we’d reserved in advance overbooked and gave our room away. We were lucky this motel still had a few rooms available, since lodging can be so hard to find in this area during summer. I’m glad it worked out that way, because I probably wouldn’t normally have picked it. It’s a basic motel, nothing fancy, but it does the job for sleeping and showering. The rooms look much better inside than the outside suggests. Ours was extremely clean and comfortable, with everything working, and the staff were very helpful. The decor is very outdated, but that didn’t matter much with comfortable beds and such a good price. I was impressed and will stay here each time we come to the area, which is often.

The price was right, the room was clean, the channel selection was great, and I’d stay again. It was a standard room on the small side, with a bed, desk, chair, bathroom, sink, tub, and TV. Thanks to the woman at the front desk. It was past 10pm, we were exhausted, and the hotels in Bend were booked. The first few we tried in Redmond were booked too. She sounded like we’d woken her, and I’m sorry if we did, but she got us a room without any trouble.
