The rooms were filthy. In three different rooms, the sheets and blankets were brown, and two rooms had bugs. Rats they had working at the front desk, law calling, made it impossible to get comfortable, and I couldn’t get a refund. I also found a loaded needle in the hallway. Just a terrible experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone right now. Mr Patella, I think that’s how you spell it, has owned the place a long time and has allowed this to happen by hiring a poor general manager and 2cnd shift manager. It’s a direct reflection of the people and lifestyles of those staying there. As a local, it’s easy to spot. There wasn’t a maintenance man anywhere in sight.

I checked out early because, as a mom, I couldn't leave my kids in those conditions. The room reeked of chlorine, there were crumbs and food on the floor, and the toilet paper roll had already been used. We had booked for four but found only two towels, and the desk couldn't provide more. Those towels had black stains, and the sheets had a red mark that looked like blood. The pullout couch in the suite seemed like it hadn't been cleaned in years. Dylan at the front desk was very kind and tried everything he could to help, even though he didn't have access to extra towels.

The front desk staff were welcoming, professional, and attentive, and this review isn't about them. The property itself is in rough shape: the entrance area had cigarette butts and trash everywhere, a broken bench, and dead landscaping. Inside, the room was worn and needed repairs. The low price didn't make it feel worthwhile. Afterward, I looked up who owns and runs the hotel and saw that it was due to go up for auction in 16 days. That explained a lot.

I'm not usually someone who leaves reviews, but Semone deserves the credit. She's always smiling, helps every guest I've watched her interact with, and gave me the best customer service I've experienced.
