Thunderbird Lodge in Riverside

It was fairly quiet and comfortable, and the location and service were absolutely A1. I only saw a few roaches, around 1-3 during my stay, but that was more than I’m used to. I’d highly recommend it.

Disgusting. The room was outdated and so foul. Even though it was a nonsmoking room, the comforter had cigarette burns, and there was a cockroach in the bathroom. Never again.

Five stars for the pretty lady at the front desk.

The room was small and smelled of smoke and cheap air freshener. The mini fridge and microwave seemed convenient, but the fridge leaked water all over our food and snacks. We couldn’t get comfortable in bed because it felt like there were crumbs in it, and shaking out the bedding only seemed to make it worse. By 8 pm we’d left. I’m no expert, but my skin was so itchy that we both thought it might be bedbugs or something like that. That’s why I’d rate this place almost zero and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. You’d be better off at your local Motel 6. Check-in was a joke, too. I’d told the front desk woman I’d just been released from the hospital and that we’d booked and paid online, then asked to check in an hour early so I could rest before heading home the next morning. The parking lot was empty except for our two cars, but she flatly refused and told us to leave or our cars would be towed. We spent about an hour at a local park before coming back for this $125-a-night nightmare.
