The house was peaceful, and our room was clean and comfortable. Lynn and Jack made us feel welcome, and I still remember the lovely stories they shared over breakfast. We had such a wonderful time there. Thanks to both of them for the thoughtful service. When I come back to Roanoke, this will be my first choice.

Jack helped us find good places to eat since my husband and I were new to Roanoke for the Zach Williams concert. He was so friendly, and the hospitality from him and his friend was unmatched. They were happy to help with anything, and the conversations made the stay feel homey. I’m sorry I can’t remember his friend’s name, but thank you both, and thank you, Jack! The King George Inn itself is a beautiful house with so much lovely detail. Our room was clean, the sheets were incredibly soft, and the bathroom looked great and had everything we needed. Jack also made a delicious breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back someday.

The King George Inn is centrally located in Roanoke, with many of the hikes we wanted to do nearby. Lynn and Jack were fantastic hosts and shared helpful local recommendations. Breakfast was delicious each morning, and the Inn had a comfortable, at-home feel. We stayed in the spacious King George room, which had a king-size bed and more than enough space for us. We slept peacefully each night. For the price and service, this is a great choice. We’ll visit again.

We were on our way home from New England and enjoyed a comfortable stay in this pretty old house. The rooms are huge. It was cool outside, so we left the window open a little and enjoyed the fresh air all evening. The ceiling fan was quiet, too. The floors squeak, so there’s no sneaking around in a house this old. The pipes made a bit of noise when the toilet flushed, but I suppose that comes with a 120-year-old house. Lynn was a wonderful hostess, and Jack made a very good breakfast: yogurt with an apple-crisp-style topping, scrambled eggs, stewed green tomato, and grits. My husband loved the tomato. I skipped it because I thought it was a pepper. Maybe next time! Two small things could use a little attention. When we arrived, we signed the guest book and were shown to our room, but some guidance about the front door lock and breakfast time would have helped. I found the breakfast time in my confirmation email. The Venetian blinds in the King George Rm. also needed a bit of attention. I’d happily stay again and recommend the King George B&B to anyone visiting Roanoke.
