La Quinta Inn Rochester

The location was nice, with a gas station right next to the hotel, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here. I saw no staff anywhere, and the rooms weren’t that well kept. The elevator took forever to operate, and breakfast was horrible: no utensils, and the food sucked. I stayed 9/27-9/28, and it was atrocious. The room smelled like weed, the third-floor hallway smelled like smoke, and the fifth-floor hallway smelled like cheap cologne. The stairway doors were bent and smashed around the doorknobs, like someone had hulk-transformed on them. There was trash in the room, weird substances on the beds and bedframes, scratches on the TV, a cigarette burn on the comforter, and another on the desk by the bed. The window was broken, and you could literally jump out of it. Before I say anything else, I’m NOT a woman. I’m a High Schooler at an all-boys school who runs Cross Country and Track. There was no quality in the Quality Inn.

The rooms were very nice and clean, but breakfast was extremely disappointing. Check-in was a hassle because they kept saying I had to pay even though the room was already paid for. This would get a higher rating if the breakfast were actually like the other locations.

For a one-night stay, it was okay for the money, but there are better hotels in the area at the same price. The beds were okay, though very firm, and the so-called hot breakfast was just a toaster with bagels and toast. Overall, we wouldn’t stay here again.

Breakfast had a good, fresh selection, and the location made it easy to get to nearby attractions. I had a great stay at Quality Inn: the room was clean, comfortable, and well cared for, and the staff were friendly and ready to help. Great value for the price, I’d recommend it.
