The Inn at Huntingfield Creek is a handy base for visiting Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge and charming Rock Hall. Jim and Joanne have made a cozy escape where city folks can enjoy the Eastern Shore countryside. We loved our comfortable room and the buffet breakfast. During our winter visit over Valentine’s weekend, the library was our favorite spot, with reading chairs and sofas, free beverage options, and a stove. Their adorable dogs are happy to greet you. We’ll absolutely be back. Highly recommended.

My husband and I loved our getaway weekend here. The chef-made breakfast was delicious and went beyond what we expected, and the staff were excellent. Our cottage was thoughtfully laid out and beautifully decorated, and the grounds were amazing. One of the best places we’ve ever stayed. We’ll definitely return.

We didn’t get up for breakfast or use the amenities inside the house, though everything looked inviting. Check-in was effortless, and the staff gave us a quick tour. Our Zen cottage felt lovely and private, with a dual-sided fireplace and soaking tub that were highlights. The sofa could’ve been more comfortable, though that might matter less in warmer months when you’re outside more. The pups were great and checked on us a few times :) The walk to the water is enjoyable and not far. Looking forward to coming back in summer.

We enjoyed an easy walk through the woods to the private dock, with beautiful views along the way. Later we took complimentary wine and warm, freshly baked cookies to the Adirondack chairs by the pond and watched wildlife among the colorful leaves. We were celebrating our anniversary at the Inn at Huntingfield Creek, staying in Lavender Cottage. It had its own kitchenette and private deck with a gorgeous view, plus a very comfortable bed and spacious bathroom with a powerful shower and separate soaking tub. Friendly dogs greeted us on arrival, and the manager showed us around. The naturally lit breakfast room, cozy well-stocked library, and outdoor fire table added to the charm. Breakfast was delicious, but it goes fast, so arrive early. It was fun swapping ideas with the other guests. We hiked around Eastern Neck Wildlife Refuge and saw a Bald Eagle perched magnificently in a tree. The trails are short and very easy, so this wasn’t an intense hiking trip. In town we ate at Flying Decoy. Restaurants were surprisingly crowded, so plan ahead and leave time for dinner. We briefly explored Rock Hall on Sunday morning, and everyone was extremely friendly. Don’t miss a crepe from Crepes Ahoy! They were as good as the ones we had in France. We definitely recommend a relaxing, refreshing getaway to Huntingfield Creek. You won’t be disappointed!

We chose the cottage overlooking the pond, a perfect spot to enjoy the fall foliage. The gas fireplace added a nice bit of ambiance and took the chill off. We spent some time walking the vast, magnificent grounds, and the library became our favorite room, with gorgeous floor-to-ceiling wood. Inside was beautiful, and the cottage was just right for our lovely two-night B&B stay. Jim and Joanne were friendly and welcoming, as were their three adorable dogs. Thank you, Jim and Carolee K.
