Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott St. Paul/Roseville

We were there one night in mid-October, and the staff made the stay easy. Dairo kept the breakfast items stocked, Harlan helped at checkout, and check-in was great too. The building is older but has been updated. It's also well placed for Roseville activities and the University of MN campus. Thanks for the great service.

The staff made this stay worthwhile. Thomas, the night auditor, was helpful with ideas for where to go and what to do. The weekend employee with the blue glasses was a doll, and the rest of the team showed great hospitality. My room was clean and cleaned daily, so thank you to housekeeping. The property is older, even after its renovations, and as a Titanium Elite Marriott member I might have chosen somewhere else for that reason. Breakfast needs work too: the food I tried was cold on the warmer, though I'm not sure whether the attendant had forgotten to switch it on. I usually leave before breakfast starts, so this was my only chance to try it. Still, the people here made for a great experience.

The hotel was nice and the front desk staff were mostly friendly. My only real frustration was the TV: the apps didn't work at all, and it kept turning off randomly. At least it had basic cable.

The elevator made an occasional banging sound that concerned me. Everything else went smoothly, and I'd stay here again. I got a good rate on fairly short notice while passing through the Twin Cities. Check-in was easy, and both rooms I'd been in had been recently remodeled, were clean, and smelled fresh. The bed was so comfortable I nearly overslept. At first my room felt stuffy because the AC was off, and I couldn't get it started. It turned out the thermostat just needed more time to reset. The front desk gentleman moved me to another room with working AC without hesitation. I thought I'd left something in the first room, so he also gave me those keys back without complaint so I could check. He was very helpful and did his best to make the stay perfect. I felt bad bothering him so much.
