This was a while back, around 2023, when we went for one night to get away. The front desk was incredibly rude. A cop had just arrested someone and was dragging them out of the hotel, and as we passed, the officer literally wished us good luck. The cheap room should’ve been a warning. The place was filthy. There was hair in the bathtub, a dirty toilet, mold on the bathroom wall, and a crack in the ceiling. The elevator was dripping water from above. We heard loud yelling and thuds as we walked by, then truckers talking outside all night while parked near our second-floor room. There was no TV, the air conditioning didn’t work, and I was worried about bedbugs, though I didn’t see any. Spend a bit more and go somewhere else.

The location may be convenient, but I’d have been better off spending $40 more elsewhere. The staff were rude, and they’ll throw away your delivery orders if you don’t pick them up from the front desk within their time limit. I’ve stayed at hotels all over the United States and this was the worst service experience I’ve had. The building seems to be under renovation, but I don’t know what they can do to fix it. It feels like they’re patching things up when the place really needs a full retrofit. There’s a stinky smell, like off-gassing toxins in the air.

Don’t book or stay here. There was dust everywhere, and the whole hallway smelled of smoke and other odors. Sometimes it was hard to breathe. The bed had bugs, and the old sheets smelled too. I stayed one night and couldn’t sleep. Worst motel I’ve ever been in. This place needs to close.

I’m a paying customer with a registered service dog, and the rules kept changing. First they said I couldn’t stay more than one day because of the dog, then they said three days, which I accepted. The strangest part was that because I paid through Expedia, I had to leave at 11 with all my things and come back at 3 if I wanted to stay. I’m quiet, and neither my dog nor I make a mess. If that’s all fine, why does it matter? They even wrote a note saying not to let me stay another day. Then I was told I could come back if I waited a day. What difference would that make?

The only real upside was being close to Walmart, Starbucks, and downtown. I’ll never book this place again. We were told on a Saturday that ours was supposedly the only room left, even though there were about five cars in the lot. We barely saw anyone during the stay, except for two people who seemed under the influence. There were around 20 camera views on a large security screen behind the desk, which made the empty place feel even stranger. Most of the cars had changed by 9 the next morning, and a homeless couple who also seemed under the influence approached our car when we returned for the night. The room had a lot of problems: one bed was dirty, the counter edges were chipped, there were stains on the walls, and what looked like dried cat feces in a corner. Two thirds of the bathroom surround had been painted badly, and the tub bottom was chipped and dirty. A new-looking vending machine gave us nothing, and the front desk didn’t help. Half the hotel was under construction. The listed restaurant wasn’t available, nor was the breakfast advertised at booking. The elevators seemed like they were barely holding together, and only the entrance didn’t smell off. When we reported the feces, the desk said there was no manager and they couldn’t do anything because we booked through hotels.com. The photos on hotels.com looked nothing like the place we experienced. We’ll be raising it with them as a fraud and health and safety concern.
