Alanie at reception was so friendly and professional. When we asked for a cart, she brought it right to our room, which we really appreciated. Ali Bayat also made breakfast a pleasure, handling our orders professionally, and there were plenty of delicious choices. We had a wonderful two-night stay at AC Hotel Sacramento. The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable, so we slept well. We’d happily stay here again.

The bathroom was a favorite, with a roomy vanity and a great shower that had both an overhead rain setting and an adjustable front showerhead. Our room stayed quiet, even though we were by the elevator and the PBR rodeo was in town. Yee haw! Parking turned out to be manageable. The helpful front desk staff explained the three choices: valet for $55, self parking for $25, or free street parking from around 10pm-7am. We chose self parking. The underground lot has some tight turns, so I wouldn’t bring a large or tall vehicle. The room was clean, too.

Renee made me feel welcome from the moment I sat down to get some work done. She brought over a warm glass of coffee without me asking, a thoughtful touch. Even on a first visit, she has a way of making you feel like a regular, and her service was attentive without hovering. She clearly takes pride in her work and enjoys connecting with guests. Renee is a real gem behind the bar at the AC Hotel. If you’re stopping for a drink or looking for a cozy place to work, I’d sit in her section.

We skipped the restaurant, but had drinks at the bar one evening, and they were excellent. The bartender clearly takes pride in what she makes. The bathroom was excellent as well. The hotel feels new and modern, right in the middle of downtown, and it was very clean and sleek. The bed and pillows could be a little better, though the value was still hard to fault. For parking, self parking is easier and cheaper than valet: the lot is right next to the hotel, and there’s no wait. You could also leave the car and use Uber to go beyond the central area.

Michael, the manager, was understanding when some emergency news meant my family needed a much later checkout. He did what he could to help without hesitation. Tyler checked us in and was kind and accommodating throughout our stay, helping whenever we needed something. I was impressed by how nice and clean the hotel was for our staycation with our two kids. There’s more affordable parking on site, even though valet was $50, which is normal. They also leave complimentary lavender bags around the hotel to help with sleep and unwinding. I took some home after such a good night’s rest. It’s a handy spot for events at the capital 1 venue or a date night downtown, close to everything. My family and I will definitely be back. I’d give it more stars if I could!
