Breakfast oatmeal was tasty and a good vegan option, and the staff were very friendly. The second floor got loud at night with people coming and going, and it took a while to get the room temperature comfortable. I also saw wild turkeys roaming nearby. I picked the hotel for its proximity to the river, but the rain stopped my plans to explore on foot. I might come back when the weather’s nicer. For my next work trip, though, I’ll choose somewhere closer to the office with free breakfast.

We chose this hotel over another because it advertised a free airport shuttle, but we couldn’t use it and had to pay for Ubers and Lyfts. We landed at 9:30 p.m., collected our bags, and called for the shuttle, only to be told it wouldn’t run after 10 p.m. The night before we left, we tried to book it for 3:30 a.m. and were told it didn’t start until 4. None of those limits were on the website. We weren’t reimbursed or treated respectfully after explaining what happened. There were cockroaches and earwigs in the rooms during our May 28 to June 1 stay. Yvonne at the front desk was the rudest person we’ve ever encountered, and the early-morning breakfast bar woman was also rude when I asked for hot water before opening at 6 a.m. Yvonne was mean and disrespectful when we shared our concerns. Everyone else at the hotel was friendly, especially the woman who checked us in. She was great, and we wish we’d gotten her name.

The rooms are nice, with newer beds and walk-in showers, but the property itself is dated. The kitchen was being renovated, which left a very limited breakfast and dinner menu. They should give guests some notice next time, especially those of us who prefer to eat at the property instead of going back out.

The destination EV charger costs $0.50/kWh even at night and cuts you off after three hours. If you need a full charge, you have to get up in the middle of the night to unplug and reconnect. The Bistro also added an extra $10 to my room without my consent, perhaps as an added tip. It took three phone calls to get the charge resolved.
