Courtyard Sacramento Cal Expo

Spent one night on New Year’s Day, 1/1/26. The room was nice and spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were very friendly with good customer service. I also had a nice view from my bedroom.

My superiors had booked me for two nights for a work event. At check-in, I was told they needed a card on file for parking and incidentals. A few days later, I checked my bank statement and saw I’d also been charged for both nights, so they’d taken payment from my superiors and from me. I called to sort it out and was told I could leave a message with the sales center and they’d get back to me next week. Christmas is less than two weeks away, and they’ve overcharged me $350. Very disappointing.

The room was decent and the service was alright, but they didn’t tell us about a bed bug issue. We were there for a tournament, and many families left early and checked out because of bed bugs. I didn’t see any in my room, but the front desk staff didn’t seem concerned at all. They told arriving guests they’d personally inspect their rooms. I won’t stay here again.

We’ve stayed at other Courtyard Marriots, but this was the worst one. The room quality was pretty subpar for the price, with a leaky faucet and empty amenities. The curtain was hard to move unless you grabbed it from the very top, so I hope you’re not short. Front desk staff showed no enthusiasm.
