There’s no breakfast at the hotel, and the room was small and not well maintained. The bed area seemed okay, but the old AC didn’t work properly, and the tiny closet had a flimsy rail and curtain. Check-in was another problem: they mishandled my company booking and gave me wrong information, which I had to correct.

The so-called accessible room didn’t work for my wheelchair-bound mother. To get her into the bathroom, I had to move furniture. The entrance button for the automatic door was broken, and her chair barely fit through the front entrance. The elevator was cramped, outdated, and uncomfortable. Staff didn’t seem to care or offer any solution, and their manner was unprofessional. I’m shocked they work in hospitality. The building is old and it shows. Upstairs the floor slopes and feels warped, and the lobby couch had a couple of suspicious round stains. The room also clearly hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly. After reading the glowing online reviews, I was shocked by the experience. You’d be better off spending your money elsewhere for somewhere more comfortable and welcoming.

The location suited me, and the bed was decent. The room itself felt odd, with its main windows looking inward onto a covered courtyard like a motel. There was just one small outside-facing window behind the bathroom door. The man at the front got really angry when I rang the bell. I apologized and pointed out that the door had a note saying it was locked and to ring for service, but he said I should’ve tried opening it first. There was no hand soap, and the body wash, shampoo, and whole room smelled like cheap aftershave.

I’m convinced we bought a four-pack of beer at the brewery for a friend, not three cans. My wife and I were charged for four, and I carried them back to the hotel. After checkout we went to breakfast, then realized we’d left the cans in the fridge. My wife called the desk, explained, and asked them to hold the beer until we came back. The attendant said that was fine. When we returned, one can was missing. The attendant said housekeeping had given her only three. We went up to room #308 to look around in case a can with a dark label had fallen out of its holder and rolled away. I searched the floor and couldn’t find it. Then we spoke to the housekeeper, who said, “it was open so I had to put it in the trash.” I’d never opened any of them because they were a gift. I can’t see how an open can could’ve sat in its holder without spilling, either. I should’ve insisted on seeing the can in the trash and kept looking, and I’m still upset with myself for leaving it there. I don’t know whether she took it while cleaning before the desk called, or after she heard there was beer in the fridge. If she opened it thinking it was juice, tasted an IPA, and threw it away, I could’ve understood an honest mistake if she’d apologized. But I believe the housekeeper lied to my face to cover it up, maybe because she knew she could get in trouble or fired. We shouldn’t have left our things behind, but that doesn’t make this okay. The room was fine; this really pissed me off.

The room was tiny, though at least it was clean, and I liked its overall look. The fridge was basic and the water pressure was poor. Parking cost $18 a night but wasn’t guaranteed. I left something in my room and have called several times, with nobody answering. Customer service is lacking.
