Browns Canyon Inn

The continental breakfast had way more variety than I expected: bagels, burritos, pancakes, muffins, oatmeal, granola, yogurt, fruit, and a full tea and coffee station with syrups, creamers, and more. It was set up in a clean, welcoming little mountain kitchen. We booked last minute on a whim and were so pleased. The rooms are clean too, with tasteful details like wood and polished stone sinks. We come to Salida at least once a year and will stay here next time.

My three sons and I took a road trip around Colorado last week and ended up in this adorable little town. Browns Canyon is the perfect small hotel. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, the staff were nice, and breakfast was good. I have no complaints. I wish I'd taken photos, but the only ones we got were of the resident deer that seem to make themselves right at home in town. We like supporting local businesses when we travel.

I loved the decor, especially the hand paintings and wooden slabs in different areas. The staff were so kind, the rooms were clean, and the breakfast area was nice. It was mostly quiet, and the people were lovely. This was my first stay at the inn, and I'll be back. It'll be my go-to place when we come here.

This lodge has the perks of a chain along with the benefits of being locally owned and operated. It's comfortable, easy to get to, quiet, and has so much attention to detail in both how it looks and the stay itself. At least a notch above other places in its price range, and dog friendly too. We'll definitely stay here again.
