Western Motel

Our original hotel canceled because of overbooking, so I’m grateful we found this place. The last-minute price wasn’t bad, and the man at the front desk was really nice. The room was clean and smelled good. It was small, but we were only here for one night and would mostly just be sleeping. Great for the price, thanks.

Fine for a single night, but I wouldn’t choose it for a longer stay. The man at the front desk was nice, and we liked having an indoor entrance to the room. The rooms are very small, plain, and have few amenities. The bedding wasn’t great: the pillows were comfortable, but there was just a sheet thrown over the bare bed, and it moved around a lot overnight, which didn’t seem very sanitary. The rooms also aren’t very soundproof, you can hear everything going past your door.

I wouldn’t recommend this place. The room looked old all over, including the picture on the wall, which looked musty and worn. The floors were old and squeaky, and every step made an ugly noise. You could hear everything from other rooms through the paper-thin walls. I checked the bed and found hair and stains.

The room was very small for two people, though it would’ve been great for one. The bed was advertised as a Queen but felt more like a Double. The place was spotless, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a short drive from Downtown, too far to walk, with a good choice of places to eat there.
