Navi and her brother, who own and run the motel, are sincere and thoughtful about what guests need. They go out of their way to make a stay comfortable, and I always come back when I'm in the area for work. The family hospitality made a much nicer impression on me than the chain places nearby. It's quiet and especially good value for how clean it is. The motel is easy on the budget in such an expensive area, with a lovely room for resting and sleeping. The shower pressure is excellent, a welcome change from the weak pressure I find in most hotels. Wi-Fi is very good at any hour, and the parking feels safe, with security cameras in place.

For $130 in Salinas, I expected a comfortable bed, but the beds were hard and squeaky. The room was basically the size of the king bed, with maybe two extra feet to walk around. There was no A.C., so we slept on top of all the blankets, and the room and bed smelled like someone had been smoking cigars. Noise went on all night. I'd give it zero stars if I could. At least lower the prices.

When I got to the room, it was clean and quiet, a nice place to turn in for the night. There aren't any frills, but I slept comfortably. I stay in Salinas about once a month to see family and have tried several affordable places over the past year. Navi, the General Manager, greeted me warmly and was really friendly. She explained what amenities were available and gave me plenty of useful information for my trip. She was so personable, too. I recommend staying here, and tell Navi that Danielle says hi!

I saw the manager woman hitting another woman on the property, just outside the office door. I could see it through the glass from the other side of the office. This happened on 8/8/15. The woman came out crying with a man wearing a turban. I asked if she needed help, and she said yes, so I called the police. The officer pressed charges against the manager on behalf of the woman who had been abused. The crying woman told the officer she'd come to see her husband there and was then attacked. It was a very bad experience. The manager was doing this while working, on the clock, which I found completely unprofessional. She looked insane. I can't believe someone would abuse another person on the job. I don't recommend this motel while she's still managing it.

For $72 total, it's a decent place if you pay cash, though they require a $50 deposit. The showers are ultra small. The lady is great.
