Wagon Wheel Motel

I booked this place because it was next door to the American Legion, where I was supporting my father, a local musician. I wanted a safe place to stay after the event, but I never got past the lobby. Staff treated me with hostility and judgment and refused to check me in or honor my prepaid reservation because of a subjective smell. I was polite, cooperative, and said clearly that I’d follow the property rules, but they were dismissive and hateful. They kept my money without providing the room. It’s disappointing to see a local business treat someone this way, especially when I booked a room so I wouldn’t have to drive. If you expect basic courtesy or hospitality, look elsewhere.

The rooms were messy and not put together, and the staff were very rude, especially the owner. They tried to charge me $100 for just 10 extra minutes at checkout.

Stay away. The staff harassed us because they wouldn’t provide towels, so we had to shower without fresh ones. After that awful service, they charged an additional $100. You’re better off paying more or just getting Motel 6.

We had a good time here. The price was good, and the front desk staff were kind. It’s an older hotel, so a lot of things are outdated, but I was there to sleep and didn’t mind. I recommend it.
