Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Salt Lake City Downtown

The hotel offers good value, even if it's not fancy, and we'd definitely stay again. Breakfast stayed well stocked until the stated end time, unlike at some Marriott hotels that hurry guests along. Our bed was one of the best I've slept in at a hotel, and my sleep app gave it a perfect 100. The walls were a bit thin, but the staff were the real highlight. Karla at the desk was kind, and check-in and check-out were quick and painless. The team went above and beyond to help us.

I was very disappointed with my stay because of Front Desk associate Henrietta's rude, unprofessional behavior. Early in the morning she pounded on my door and complained about the TV volume in a connected room, waking me abruptly. The way she handled it was disrespectful and showed no regard for the possibility that I might have hearing loss or a disability.

It's a decent hotel for the price, but I wouldn't book here unless you're okay with hearing the nightclub all night. I came here to sleep, and losing sleep makes the place not worth it. I know the hotel isn't entirely to blame, but I wanted to warn others.

The bathroom fan was hanging from one screw and looked pretty shabby, and I could hear every footstep from the unit above. The main problem for me was the Wi-Fi. I travel a lot for business and switched from Hilton to Marriott this year, but the regular Wi-Fi here wasn't working. I had to use the hotel's separate connection, which wouldn't give me the faster speeds I need for my work programs, so I left for another hotel. They didn't really apologize or offer points or money back. I won't stay here again.
