Home2 Suites by Hilton Salt Lake City East

We had our dog with us, and there was a nice walking area to the left of the parking lot. I loved the large fire pit outside. The room was clean and comfortable, and it was a pleasant stay. Breakfast had plenty of hot choices, better than just continental, though typical hotel quality. We had egg patties, ham, sausage, potatoes, egg cups like Starbucks' vida sous eggs, plus the continental items. Good coffee, regular and decaf. The $75 pet fee felt steep for a well-trained dog, but they ended up charging $65, so I gave the other $10 to housekeeping. We'd stay again!

The staff made the stay feel easy, always warm and ready to help. My room was spacious, thoughtfully laid out, and comfortable, and the whole place felt calm and well cared for. Breakfast had a good range of fresh choices. Home2 Suites by Hilton was clean and modern, and I’d happily come back or recommend it.

Bedbugs turned what should have been a fun trip into a stressful mess. We found them after the first night, and they came along for the rest of our trip. Once home, we had to wash everything, heat treat our belongings, and take serious care not to bring them into the house. This was a terrible stay at Home2 Suites by Hilton Salt Lake City East, and I’m very disappointed that we had to deal with this at a Hilton property.

I’ll keep this hotel in my rotation for work trips to SLC. The gym has dumbbells up to 50, a full cable system, and a few cardio machines, so there’s plenty to work with. My room was ready early, and Walmart is just across the way if you need something. The room was a good size for the price, the bed was comfy, and I was impressed by the breakfast spread. The location on the eastern edge of town worked well for me.
