The people at this hotel were very nice, and the relaxed setup with more room downstairs might suit families who don't need to work in their room. But I travel for business, and there wasn't enough workspace for me. The shelf under the TV was only 24 inches, and the pull-out table they call a desk was tiny, 24 inches deep and 36 inches wide, about as wide as the chair. My kids like puzzles and games, but there wasn't space for those either. There's no closet, so hanging clothes is a problem. If you only need a place to sleep and shower, it may be fine. When I arrived for my reservation and saw the room, I explained that I'd have to move to a hotel where I could work in the evenings. I left right away, but they still charged me for one day.

The shuttle was quick, and the driver was really friendly. I had a great night at Tru by Hilton SLC airport. The hotel was spotless, the bed comfortable, and breakfast had plenty of tasty options. It’s a simple place without frills, but the price was very affordable and I have no complaints.

We’ve stayed here twice now and are already looking forward to coming back. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast had a good range of choices, too. My one suggestion would be to have a slightly firmer pillow.

It had been a rough day of travel, and we got in very late with the family. I texted Meriam (I may have the spelling wrong, sorry), and things quickly turned around. The shuttle driver was wonderful and helped with all our bags, then got us to our room fast. Thanks to both of them for saving the day.

The car rental return at Salt lake City Airport was exactly seven minutes away, which made things easy. The front desk woman, whose name I didn’t get, also found my Hilton Honors number without any trouble. After a week in a rustic Yellowstone Park cabin, Tru by Hilton SLC was a welcome sight. The king bed was as comfortable as I’d expect from Hilton, and I liked being able to move the modular furniture around. The wall dispensers in the shower had lovely, I think lemon-scented, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. There were matching large dispensers for hand soap and lotion by the sink, so no tiny bars of soap to run out. The complimentary breakfast was a relief after a week of $7 Lenders bagels. The coffee was great. The western omelets were on the small side, but I was happy to go back for another. There were breads and muffins, and I think waffles or pancakes too, though I didn’t try those.
