The staff are friendly, and for the price it's about what you'd expect from a Best Western Plus. The hot tub wasn't heating, which was disappointing, and the airport is about 35 minutes away. Palo Alto is a working-class area of San Antonio. If you want food beyond fast food or Mexican cuisine, you may need to drive 10-15 minutes, but it is Texas.

The room was clean, and breakfast was genuinely very good, but we couldn't sleep because a beeping sound kept going off every 49 seconds all night. We also didn't notice until morning that the bathroom had no shower curtain, which made it inconvenient to shower. The exercise room was open, but none of the equipment worked. I'd suggest checking the room when you arrive and hope the staff inspect rooms and amenities before making them available. Details like these make a real difference to the stay.

I've stayed here for years whenever I visit SanAntonio. The lobby and rooms are clean, the staff are nice, and the price is under $100. Other hotels we've tried in the area haven't been as nice. Free breakfast and coffee are a plus, and they have an indoor pool and workout area. There's also a Jack in the box and a gas station with snacks right next door, within walking distance.

Worst motel I've stayed at. It was filthy and infested with what looked like hundreds of roaches and rats. I told the general manager about it, and he said, "It's cold outside, the rats have to sleep somewhere". I won't stay in a Best Western again. Roberto, the general manager, is a pathological liar. The hotel stole my money, and there was no reason for me to tell staff about having an electric bicycle in my room. There's no specific policy against electric bicycles at this hotel, and Texas law doesn't prohibit or recommend them on hotel property. Some hotels may be bike-friendly, but the rules for bringing bikes, especially e-bikes, into guest rooms aren't in any policy. The hot water wasn't working either. Apparently the rat swarms used it all up. Maybe fix the hot water, the rat problem, and the bike policy instead of making up stories to make yourself look good. Have a nice day, and try not to get bitten by a rabies-infested rat.
