The price was $75 for one night in a room with two beds for me, my mom, and my two sisters. It sounded cheap, but the stay wasn’t worth it, and I’m never coming back to this motel. As soon as we opened the door, there was such a strong marijuana smell that it felt like the biggest 4/20 festival had happened in the room. On my own, I might not have cared, but it wasn’t funny with my mom and sisters there. The pillows, blankets, and sheets were filthy. The pillows had yellow stains, and the sheets had dirt and black marks from who knows what. I also found two dead cockroaches right in front of me as soon as I walked in. When I visit San Antonio, I usually stay at 2755 N PanAm Expy. Now I can see it’s worth paying a little more for somewhere much cleaner and more comfortable. I tried something different this time and regretted it.

This place is crawling with roaches. People were really loud, going back and forth all night, and making cat noises outside the door. I didn’t appreciate any of it.

The shower was so gross I felt dirtier afterward than before. The water was hot and had great pressure, at least, but the room was a shameful, dirty excuse for a hotel room. They wanted $350 for a week, and I got them down to $325, which was still $200 too much. Boo!😮💨

I’m Eric, the manager at Capital Motel. I give it 3 stars because anyone who’s stayed here knows the place needs work. The doorbell was one of the first things I had to get used to. It sounds like what I imagine an electric chair in prison would feel like, and it buzzes all day and night unless I unplug it. Lol. The people are one of the good parts of managing here. Most of the regulars and people passing through have been respectful, kind, and considerate. I’ve worked at hotels in much better shape where that wasn’t true. The motel had terrible reviews when I arrived, and I hope I can make changes that lead to better ones in the future. Some may hate me and some may love me, but I’ll do my best to make guests comfortable with what we have. If you’re staying here, you can come talk to me about anything. I might turn down a request, but I’ll listen considerately. Our rates are low, and we always wash, clean, and change our linens. Hope to see you at Capital Motel. Thanks.

Every room is infested with roaches, including the appliances. I had to try four different rooms before they made me stay in one, because they didn’t want to refund my money. I got only two hours of sleep, and had to move the bed away from the walls so the roaches wouldn’t crawl on me. Don’t come here.
