This is Heather Carr messaging. Years ago, when I was a young adolescent or maybe a pre-teen, my parents, Darlens Carr and Thomas Carr, and I stayed somewhere in Orange County while traveling to watch the horse races. I can't remember the name, but it looked like River Inn motel here in san antonio Texas. Years later, I'm wondering if something happened there involving my parents. I don't know, and I didn't hear anything. I was falling asleep by 830pm and woke up in the morning perfectly fine. I have an intuition now that they may have been murdered, but by the grace of God they were fine.

We stayed for 2 days and loved how quiet it was. The rooms were really clean, and the staff were amazing. Convenience stores, Historic Market Square, The Alamo, and the Riverwalk were all very close. Having a laundromat nearby was a big help too.

Getting downtown was easy, with plenty to do there. I went to renew my key in the morning and waited 20 minutes, ringing the bell several times without anyone responding. When I came back in the afternoon, I got help right away.

The staff were really nice, and the place was clean and affordable compared with some dirty, overpriced hotels. It's also close to downtown. Just be aware there's a deposit fee, and checkout is at 11AM Sharp!

My husband and I stopped here on the way back home to Kentucky. The rooms were clean and quiet, even though the hotel is right off I-35, so we didn't hear the interstate traffic. There's a key and remote deposit, but you get it back when you return the remote. Great room for a great price, and we'll definitely come back if we're down this way again.
