The hotel sits within walking distance of restaurants and attractions including El Mercado, the Riverwalk, the Alamo, and La Villita Historic Arts Village. Rooms are spacious and have a small kitchen area. I’d suggest a balcony or Riverwalk view. I stay here often for work and plan to keep booking when I’m in the area. As a Gold member, I’m greeted warmly and appreciate the complimentary snacks. The front desk is consistently polite and attentive. Ameyalli checks in on me each morning and wishes me a good day. Once, after a flight delay led to a very late arrival, she made sure I was okay and comfortable, which meant a lot. I use the valet every time, and the team is welcoming and careful with the car as soon as I pull up. Special thanks to Denise, who takes great care of me for early flights. I tell her ahead of time when I need the car, and it’s always waiting downstairs when I come to check out. She works hard to get everyone’s cars out promptly in the morning. I highly recommend the hotel.

We’ll definitely be back, and this is becoming our regular place in San Antonio. It’s right off the river, and everyone is friendly. We used valet this time, and Miles was especially great. All the valets were good, but if you have a truck, ask for Miles. Kevin’s also the person to see on the evening shift if you need anything.

The Texas feel runs through the decor, right down to the waffle maker, and I’m here for it 🤠. Home2suites shares a building with the Hampton. It’s a clean, nice, reasonably priced hotel along the river, and I appreciated the snacks and water offered at check-in with my Hilton status. The understandable downside is that valet parking is mandatory and costs $50 a night.

It’s close to the river walk and the room was fairly clean, with modern styling and an updated look. The location is the main plus. Beyond that, I had a frustrating stay, especially because of parking. PMC valet took 45 minutes to return my car, which was ridiculous. The building is shared with Hampton inn, making the setup confusing and, to me, unprofessional. The room was nice, but damage and skid marks hadn’t been repaired. As a Hilton Gold member I received no snacks, no thanks for my status, and no warm welcome. The check-in staff member was rude. I expected a different experience as a Gold member, but didn’t get one. You may struggle with parking and other accommodations here, and the parking alone made the stay feel like a waste of time.
