Roaches everywhere, and the room was falling apart. The door wouldn’t close properly, the floor gave way underfoot, and a huge hole under the carpet left my ankle swollen like a balloon the day I arrived. The microwave was junk, there was no hot water, and the AC was broken. The pool was just a shallow green swamp and unusable. The tub was completely moldy, and every supposedly clean towel was stained and had long black hairs. The toilet was disgusting, fixtures had broken off the wall, and the mini fridge was only a freezer. Chairs were wet and stained when I arrived, and the stained, wet sofa bed couldn’t be used. Neighbors fought until 2 a.m. I called the desk, but when things turned violent nobody came up. There were no managers on staff. Live electrical wires hung at eye level without caps, and the fire extinguisher spots were empty. This place should not be rented. It needs to be condemned. The listing was false advertising, and the whole place was disgusting.

Cheap, sure, and pretty nice too. Each night I only had about six cockroaches to kill. The TV channels were great, as you can see. They even check your stuff and make the bed every day, unlike most hotels. The pool is amazing if you want to try swimming. Hope you get treated as politely as I did.

I was surprised at checkout when the inspection seemed focused on finding some small excuse to keep my $50 deposit. No one had mentioned that deposit before I arrived. The staff were rude and treated guests badly, and I’d tell people not to book here. My stay at Homegate Studios Hotel was the worst hotel experience I’ve had. The place was filthy and the room unacceptable. The TV didn’t work properly, there was no remote, and when I asked for toilet paper I was told none was available. I hope the hotel takes this seriously so other guests don’t go through the same thing.

The photos and the actual room were like a catfish, completely different. It smelled moldy and had roaches everywhere. I checked out right away because it was absolutely repulsive. Charging more than 20 bucks for this roach motel should be criminal.
