Homewood Suites by Hilton San Antonio Airport

We had to take our daughter to urgent care for what looked like bed bug bites across the left side of her upper body. That was the worst part of a stay full of problems. The hotel is in a rough area, and the desk clerk warned me to park near the front to help avoid a break-in. The indoor pool was closed, though it was one of the main reasons we booked. Our room had a broken toilet, phones that didn’t work, a torn couch, and a dirty bathtub with grime and dirt by the drain. The music downstairs was SO LOUD!! They also let people who weren’t guests help themselves to breakfast. DO NOT STAY HERE!

My only real complaint was the TV remote, which barely responded. I used the Hilton app as a remote instead, and that worked perfectly. The room was very good quality, the breakfast buffet was nice, and the staff were courteous and helpful. I enjoyed the short stay.

The kitchen has a stove top, full fridge, dishes, and a dishwasher, but no oven. Chillis is right across the street, and the Alamo is 13 mins away. Park by the cameras so your windows don't get broken out like at any other hotel these days.

We booked this place for the kitchen, but for families, I’d never stay again. The building needs renovation asap: there’s mildew or mold, water damage from old leaks, and the furniture is all old. The staff need a change in management too. A tall T and jeans is very unprofessional. This place needs a complete update immediately. If you’re looking for a nightcap, then this is the perfect place for you.
