Inn on the Riverwalk

The river beside the hotel makes for a peaceful, quiet setting, and the location is great. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was great. The owner came out with his cute puppy Charlie to visit us on the patio during breakfast. We'd definitely come back!

We stayed in the yellow rose suite on the top floor, the only room up there, and the patio had a good view. The room was equipped well enough, and the cable package was better than I expected. It's a solid value compared with hotels right on the Riverwalk, and renting several rooms could let a group have the place essentially to itself. I'd return. It's a nice Inn, a short walk from the Riverwalk, with nice rooms and good breakfast. Usually one person runs it from morning until mid to late afternoon, and the person changes by day. The owner often stops by in the morning, shaking hands and chatting with guests over breakfast.

The house has a lot of charm, the room was nice, and the breakfast was delicious. The location is handy too, close to downtown, Fort Alamo, and the fantastic San Antonio Riverwalk. I'm usually more of a luxury hotel person, but the Inn on the Riverwalk really stunned me. The owners are lovely and understand hospitality.

Margaret made us feel so welcome, and breakfast the next morning was delicious. The bed was super comfortable too. For our 30th wedding anniversary, the rose petals on the floor and arranged in a heart on the bed made the room feel really romantic. The walk along the river was beautiful and mostly quiet. The location is perfect, close enough for a short walk to the busy Riverwalk but far enough away to feel secluded and peaceful. We'll definitely be back.
