There were cigarette burns on the blanket and stains on the pillowcases in the nonsmoking room I was given. The woman at the desk had also kept my ID, then said it was for security or I’d have to pay an extra $20. She hadn’t told me she was keeping it or mentioned the charge. Check-in started with her greeting me rudely and repeatedly warning me not to smoke. Don’t come here at all.

The owner made us check out after we’d been there only two hours, and wouldn’t refund even half my money. We’d driven from Ft. Worth to San Antonio for a funeral, last minute and on a very tight budget, and had stopped at the first place we saw. I’d paid $75 for a double-bed room for three of us. The owner got upset and insisted only two people could stay, even though it was a double room. A family member came by to ride with us to the service, and the owner got angry again, saying visitors weren’t allowed. We were tired, stressed, and rushing to get ready. I explained that we were there for a funeral, not to party or cause trouble, but he didn’t care. The toilet didn’t work, and the shower had no water pressure. These people are rude and have no compassion. This place doesn’t deserve even one star.

I’d been living here for over three months without any problems. Then the place changed to new management, and the daily and weekly rates went up. The change in weekly payments happened overnight and didn’t feel professionally handled. I’m sorry to change my comments from satisfied to disappointed.

I’d paid for another day and had no problem doing so, but after checkout my belongings were taken from the room in less than an hour. I called several times and asked them to leave my things in the room. A woman sitting on the stairs had a beer from my fridge. She said she’d bought it across the street at Valero, while the housekeeper said it had been found in the trash after cleaning my room. That made no sense. Homeless people hang around the stairs and use guests’ things. This is the worst motel, with very bad service. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, and they should answer the phone more often. If I could give zero stars, I would.
