Red Roof Inn San Antonio - I-35 North

Don't stay here. Our room was in bad shape, with holes in the walls, dirty sheets and towels, and beds that weren't made. There were no clean towels, and we were told the laundry room was locked. The key card stopped working the next day, and the managers were never around. They also charged my card for something we didn't take. Corporate only apologized and didn't help. There was a male housekeeper, which I don't think is good for this company.

The one good thing was that I didn't see any bugs. Otherwise, the shower was gross, the floors were sticky, the beds uncomfortable, and there was no bath, only a shower. There's no fridge or microwave, and the bathroom fan had no cover. We had a dog and a three-year-old and were put on the third floor. That would've been okay if the elevator hadn't been broken. They said all four pet rooms are on the third floor, so I had to carry my scared 40-pound dog up the stairs. I wouldn't recommend this place.

I thought it was nice and clean, but there was no refrigerator or microwave unless you're staying long term. It's still 100 times better than the one in Willis, Texas. At that one, our sheets were stained and had to be changed, the floor was sticky, and the toilet was dirty. If I could give negative stars, I would. I'll give this place one, but don't stay there.

I kept trying this place even after the first bad stay, but each time got worse. The shower had cracked, rough tile, the towels were small and scratchy, and the phone didn't work. Pillowcases and linens were stained too. I put up with it because it was cheap and close to my job, and I only needed somewhere to sleep and shower. Then they charged the wrong amounts to my card and I started getting fraud alerts. The last straw was finding that they'd checked someone else into my room while I was still there. Staff started out friendly, but they're so poorly trained it comes across as incompetence. I won't be back.
