Booking.com representatives did everything they could to advocate for us, and I really appreciate it. The hotel refused to work with them or offer any flexibility, though I understand hotels have refund policies. I’d booked a week at Loma Lodge for my father because of a serious family emergency, but things got worse and he had to leave after two nights. What upset me most was the hotel staff’s lack of compassion and professionalism. When I asked to speak to a manager or get contact details so I could explain the emergency, the man at the front desk refused and basically said “oh well.” There was no empathy, no effort to help, and no willingness to discuss options. Family emergencies are stressful enough, and this kind of service makes it harder. A little kindness would’ve gone a long way. I’ll keep fighting this, and I WILL NEVER recommend staying here.

It was somewhere to sleep for the night, but I didn’t feel comfortable or safe and wouldn’t recommend it. The parking lot was rough, the room smelled very strong, and the sheets had stains and hairs on them. There was dust and dirt all over, with random marks on the floor. It felt like the room hadn’t been cleaned in a while.

The pool was great, and parking right outside the rooms was convenient. We’re a family of four, and we found this a great value, so we’ll definitely be back. It’s well placed for Seaworld San Diego and Liberty Station, with easy freeway access. There’s traffic noise because a bus stop is right out front, but the price was totally worth it. Just a heads-up about the $100 security deposit, which my husband and I couldn’t find mentioned when booking. Half the booking was charged that day, and the rest of the stay was charged within an hour of check-in.

For one adult, I paid $112 for the night. It’s a cheap motel, so you get what you pay for, and it’s not upscale. That’s fine with me for the price. It was really clean and right where I wanted to stay. For $112, it’s outstanding.
