Best Western San Diego/Miramar Hotel

This is my favorite hotel to book. It's so peaceful that every time I'm there I end up extending my stay by at least three days. The employees genuinely work to make sure guests have a good experience, and every department seems to hold high standards. Everyone is professional and committed to making things better for guests and the company. It's a special place that deserves recognition. Thanks for making our stays so memorable every time.

The breakfast was decent, and the hotel is easy to get on and off I15 from. But our stay was a bad experience. The rooms smelled, and we got rashes from the sheets. We asked for fresh sheets and still had rashes. The bathroom smelled like it hadn't been cleaned. We definitely won't stay again.

Augustine and the housekeeper made our stay. He went out of his way several times without us even asking, and genuinely cared about our comfort and needs. I'd come back just for him and how clean our room was. The beds were comfortable and clean too. No bugs or grossness like other reviews mention, though there was a small stain on the chair. The food was okay. I appreciated that they offered it and changed it up each day. We were there for the Marine family and the Miramar Air Show for three nights, and it came to six hundred something.

I couldn't get decent sleep, which is my main requirement for a good hotel. The neighboring door slammed loudly each time it shut, and it was opening and closing a lot. Even at 4am, I heard loud beeping outside from something I couldn't identify. People rolling luggage past the outer wall were also incredibly noisy. I booked because I expected quieter rooms. They could make the doors close more quietly in several ways and add more sound protection, especially on the outside-facing wall.
