Lodge at 32nd

The rooms are spacious for an economical price, and I was very satisfied. The front desk quickly handled my request for early check-in, even though I didn’t have a reservation swell. Parking is limited to one car per room. There’s a very lively crowd in a quiet residential neighborhood, and adult privacy++. Some parts of the neighborhood are under construction for growth.

I was there for 10 days, and the microwave and fridge were a great bonus. The bed was super comfortable, and the staff were absolutely amazing. It’s a family-owned business, and they were all wonderful. As a woman on my own, I did find the location a little sketchy, but the hotel itself was great. It’s close to downtown, the airport, and military bases. If you need a cheap, clean place to stay, I recommend the Lodge on 32nd. Thanks again to all the staff!

I called at the last minute in an emergency, and the woman at the desk was sweet and really efficient. The location is sketchy, but that’s absolutely not the hotel’s fault. My room had hardwood floors, a mini fridge, mini freezer, and microwave. The room was cleaner than other motels for sure, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. The ice machine takes quarters, so plan for that. For the price I paid, it was so worth it. I’ll stay again next time I’m stranded in San Diego.

This hotel is in a more residential area than Gaslamp and the other touristy neighborhoods, but it’s still only an 8 minute drive downtown. Restaurants and supermarkets are within walking distance, so what you need is nearby. I had a good experience here. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were spacious with working amenities. The bathroom faucets were a bit annoying.
