Town and Country San Diego

The resort's nice bar and pool area connects with the several buildings that house the hotel guests. The kids really enjoyed the pool slide and the stay. Our room was clean, with no bugs or animals. The pillows were a bit too fluffy for my liking, though most hotels are like that. No issues here. I know my daughter will ask to come back, and we'll definitely return.

There was plenty of space to lounge between our dance and theater competition events, with comfy seating, games, and places to just hang out. The pools were warm, the big hot tub was relaxing, and the slide was a lot of fun. Staff were friendly and quick to help whenever we needed anything. The whole resort has this fun old-school feel, almost like relaxing in a 1950s soda pop diner, but with modern comforts. We had a great time and would come back.

Jessica made my son's 6th birthday stay feel special. She upgraded our room and included parking, which we really appreciated. She also walked us through the resort amenities and made sure we had what we needed. From the minute we arrived, she was warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful. The first impression is lovely: an updated lobby, a charming courtyard, and a family feel. Then you get to the room, which had a cinderblock, old correctional-facility look. The paint seemed decades old, and calling it a renovation feels generous. Housekeeping missed our room two nights in a row. The service credit they offered barely seemed enough for a third of a gallon of gas. The shower pressure was so weak I could imagine putting seeds under it for birds, and the toilet looked older than my grandfather. It's a strange contrast, with an inviting entrance and rooms that feel like budget prison realism. I wouldn't stay again unless I wanted to feel like an inmate.
