The price was good, but I’d rather pay more for a better stay. Parking is probably the main advantage, though spaces are limited and it’s first come, first served. Buses were really loud, even with my pretty high tolerance for noise. The room was cold, and the freestanding heater barely worked. There was no room service.

I’d come back, that’s all! The beach is right there, and the location is by the train and partly above a bar, though it wasn’t the loudest spot. Parking gets packed, but it’s free. On my first night I had a huge room to myself, with a very comfy king bed, big tub, hot water, and free parking. I checked out and came back later with family. The twin-bed room was also huge and comfortable. The baseboards could’ve used a bit more cleaning, but there wasn’t much else.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. It’s well placed by the ocean and Golden Gate Park. On Saturday night, noise from the bar downstairs and the train station carried on until about 1:30 AM. You could hear it, but it wasn’t outrageous, so earplugs might be useful. Otherwise, a great stay.

At least there was some parking, though there aren’t enough spaces for all the rooms. The bed was comfortable and the place was relatively clean, but the room we got was tiny and smelled like an old bathroom. The worst part was a full one-inch gap under the door, leaving the room open to the weather and any critters passing by. It’s an absurdly wide gap and seems like an easy fix, but the “new management” apparently hasn’t caught it yet. A pretty rough place.

The front desk guy was friendly and helpful. One heads-up: there’s no A/C or built-in heater, though they do supply a small heater. It can get quite loud at night from the bar and trains. Still, it was a great stay.
