Zelos San Francisco Hotel

The breakfast downstairs was a highlight. Miguel at Dirty Habit took care with my allergies, checked more than once that the meal suited me, and was wonderful even at 7 in the morning. The warm mini croissants were my favorite, and I liked the mushroom French omelet so much I ordered it twice. The evening bar looked lively, though I didn’t get to try it. I was here for four business nights. The room was modern, clean and quiet, with a comfortable bed, crisp linens and good shower pressure. Jeff made check-in easy, and the staff were friendly whenever I passed through the lobby. Hotel Zelos is right downtown, handy for Moscone Center and surrounded by restaurants and coffee spots. A higher floor facing Market Street had nice light and was quieter. I’d stay here again in San Francisco.

We only spent one night, and the area was really convenient. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and we had no problems while we were there. The front desk let us check in early and waived the fee. Pretty good value for the stay.

The fifth-floor bar was the best part for me. The drinks and atmosphere were great, and the patio was a nice extra for relaxing before going out or ending the night. After settling in, Hotel Zelos felt like a comfortable, low-key base for exploring the city, and much nicer than its first impression suggests. The lobby is pretty plain, and the front desk didn’t make much of an impression. But the room itself was lovely, thoughtfully laid out and very clean. The whole hotel was impressively quiet, which matters a lot in San Francisco. I’d stay again.

Right downtown beside a Trader Joe's, so the location is handy, though it’s a busy area near a bus stop. The rooms were very clean and had nice Lather toiletries. The gym is tiny, and there’s no pool or hot tub. The Dirty Habit restaurant serves excellent food, but the portions are small for the price.
