La Luna Inn, an Ascend Collection Hotel

There’s a lot of road noise in the room, with cars honking and revving outside. Still, it’s fairly close to the marina and within walking distance of nice restaurants and the Presidio. The room was decent but small. The bed, TV, and living area were okay; the bathroom was cramped, the shower felt a bit old and not very nice, and the toilet seat wobbled. Maybe bring slippers. The pump shampoo isn’t my favorite either.

Free parking was a huge plus, and the location made it easy to get everywhere. Everything was spotless, nicely updated, and comfortable, with outstanding value for the price. We had a great stay at La Luna Hotel. Paul at the front desk was especially kind and helpful. It isn’t a fancy place, but it’s great for the price. Highly recommend!

The free parking was a plus, and the location worked for us since we could walk to The Palace of Fine Arts for the event we attended. But the room was bare-bones and the bed was incredibly uncomfortable. Every time my husband or I rolled over, it made a lot of noise. The neighborhood was loud too, and the walls were thin. For the cost, I’d call the location decent. I guess you get what you pay for.

The room was fantastic and really comfortable after a long day, even though the outside doesn’t look like much. The daytime front desk staff were all fantastic and made me feel at home. At night, though, the guy at the front desk had a consistently nasty, antisocial attitude. I only dealt with him twice and both experiences were negative, despite being pretty easy to get along with.
