Stanford Court San Francisco

The Financial District and SOMA location worked well for me, and the staff were really friendly. The rooms are huge, though the bed definitely isn't king-sized. I'm 5 feet tall and could reach both ends of it at once. The bathroom has been renovated, but it's nothing fancy. Little things bring the place down: stained, fraying carpet, a fridge that doesn't keep food cold, and duvets with only a flat sheet on either side instead of a cover. Valet parking costs $75 plus $10 tax per day. It has what you need, but doesn't feel especially luxurious.

The Nob Hill setting is a big plus, with cable cars right outside and staff who are friendly and willing to go the extra mile. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the city views were great. Some parts of the hotel look dated, the elevators may take a while, and a few rooms could use an upgrade. Still, it was a solid stay in SF. 🚋✨

The room was lovely, the staff were nice, and the hotel was very clean during our one-night midweek stay. The continental breakfast, though, was a real letdown for a hotel of this caliber. I remember it being about $19 per person, and with the tip we paid nearly $50 for two. The oatmeal was watery, and the other food seemed like it had been brought in from somewhere else. There were cold pastries like you'd get at a budget chain, plus lots of plastic packaging for the yogurt parfaits and fruit. It made me feel like we were back in Covid times. I doubt we'll return.

I came to San Francisco to see my son and stayed three nights at the Stanford Court. I was happy with the reasonable rate I got through Delta Airlines, and my room was large and well kept. Upgrading to a higher floor with a view was worth it. The view was beautiful both day and night. Complimentary water was available when I asked, and the hotel is in a great spot. I actually like the hills, and cable cars run right outside for anyone who'd rather not walk them. Two of the three elevators were out during my stay. I knew that from earlier reviews, rarely waited long, and saw work underway on my last day. A lovely visit, and I'll stay at the Stanford Court again next time I'm in the Bay Area.
