The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco

The room looked great, and the staff at the entrance were fantastic. The front desk interaction was a different story. When I asked for clarification, the woman replied, “that’s what I said.” I’ve rarely encountered someone so discourteous at a Ritz. It will definitely affect where we stay next time. The Four Seasons is nearby if you’re looking for a luxury hotel with friendlier service.

We got married during our stay, and the front desk and guest relations team made the occasion memorable. Rose, Elena, and Jamie Ann went above and beyond, and we really appreciated all their work. The room was gorgeous too, breakfast room service was 10/10, and we had a great time at the late-night bar with its excellent drinks. This was our second stay, and we’ll be back.

After we checked out, my 82-year-old Mom realized she’d left envelopes with $2000 in room 715 on 12/17/2025. It was for our cruise that day. I called while I was at the cruise terminal, and although the call was hard for me to hear, the gentleman on the phone told me housekeeping had turned the money in to security. I hurried back to the hotel, where security met me at the front desk with it. Times are tough, so seeing the housekeeper and everyone involved act with such integrity and heart really restored my faith in people. I left the housekeeper a reward and would love to thank her and the manager I spoke with personally. They all deserve recognition. I highly recommend this hotel. The staff were terrific throughout our stay. Scott and Robert greeted us at the car, helped with our luggage, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The front desk team was welcoming too.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday, along with his best friend, at the hotel. We’d stayed here the previous December, in 2024. The property is very comfortable, and the bell and concierge service were excellent. Service in general was very good. Breakfast wasn’t the best, but the lobby bar was exceptional.
