Twin Peaks Hotel

The room was small, but it worked well for one person or a couple, and it was comfortable. I did notice a stain, though, so I'd bring your own blanket and pillow to put over the bed. The shared bathrooms gave me college freshman dorm vibes. The walls are thin, but if you're tired from a full day and have had a drink, you'll sleep like a baby. If you're on a budget, this is a good spot. I liked being in the middle of the district, and the lobby was super cute. Seems perfect for a one-night trip to sf.

The room had a dated, mismatched look, but the man at reception was nice and held my luggage after checkout. The location is a real plus, with Castro and Dolores, transit, and a supermarket all within walking distance. I’ll come back.

We only needed the room to sleep and get going the next day, and this was enough for the price, especially with food and entertainment nearby. There was a lot to do within walking distance, and the area felt pretty safe compared with some San Francisco streets. The front desk staff were polite. The room was fairly clean, but there were clothes under the bed and between it and the wall.

The musty smell, thin walls, and unreliable WiFi made my stay over a week rough. I knew it was a budget place with shared bathrooms and was okay with that, but the way staff complained about one towel with makeup or red stains really left a bad taste. I’d spent over $1,000 there, and it was a cheap towel. Completely unnecessary. If you just need somewhere to crash, it’ll do, but don't expect much service or hospitality.
